When Life Hurts – A Journey Toward Healing
Though scripture tells us that every woman is precious in the sight of God, the enemy seeks to steal, kill and devour her identity as the beautiful daughter of the Almighty King. His schemes to shroud her beauty and light with shame and pain have caused many lives and callings to be derailed.
This is a 15 week class that is divided into three 5-week sessions. Sessions 1 and 2 offer an opportunity for women to remove the veil, seek healing and find hope in a safe, loving environment. Session 3 addresses topics that impact both men and women, providing a caring and supportive environment to receive sound teaching and encouragement for the hurting soul. All 3 sessions better equip those who have a desire to minister to people in pain. Topics include:
Sessions 1 and 2: Grief and Loss, Pornography, Post-Abortion Syndrome, Sexual Abuse, Domestic Violence, Spiritual Abuse, Suicide, Eating Disorders/Self-Harm, Lesbianism and Transition to Health.
Session 3: Terminal Illness, Physical Disability, Infertility, Homelessness, Incarceration and Death of a Child.
Mary Cross will be teaching the course based on the curriculum taught at Western Seminary. Come and be encouraged, enlightened, supported and loved as you are ministered to and learn how to minister to those in pain.
Feel free to join the class at anytime as each week’s topic stands on its own while still creating a cohesive, integrated learning experience as a whole.
